New Role!

From September onwards, I will have a new role in a mainstream secondary school's SEND department as the lead on EBSA, home tuition and integration. I am over the moon and also so excited to help not only the pupils but also the families of children who are school avoiding. I am also thrilled that this opportunity is available in a mainstream school. Of course, another perk is that I get an office and so the last couple of days I have been living at The Range, B&M and Home Bargains in order to buy the most beautiful decorations for my new desk.

This new job involves tutoring those who are not attending school in English, Maths and Science as well as offering some PSHE and access to assemblies. This also involves monitoring those children who has a history of EBSA and checking their attendance as well as those individuals who are on reduced or alternative timetables. This, of course, will involve lots of contact with the pupils' families too.

Despite the summer holidays being an amazing break, I cannot wait for September so I can really sink my teeth into this new role!
